ABSTRACT
Background: Melt granulation (MG) is a simple operation involving uniform mixture of active ingredients with melted polymeric carrier. However, this process can also enhance drug’s biopharmaceutical properties by augmenting its dissolution rate and, thus, absorption. Purpose: By applying MG technology, current research focuses on developing co-processed ketoconazole higher aqueous than pure form. Methods: A measure how the type and proportion carriers affect crystallinity materials was performed. prepared in high-shear mixer using co-povidone (Kollidon®) VA 64, HPMCAS HF as carriers, PEG 1450 (Kollisolv®) triethyl citrate plasticizers. Results: The exhibited miscibility systems, indicated reduction enthalpy fusion. Drug significantly reduced system, confirmed XRPD ATR-FTIR studies. enhanced drug concentration 64 environment; contrarily, for HF, dilution observed to favor rate. Conclusions: handy, low-cost technology that develops dissolution-enhanced pharmaceutical ingredients, spotting specific carrier-drug interactions. yields scalable, proven processes, raising interest applications optimizing therapeutic efficacy. Ultimately, enhancement could bring lower-cost, high-efficiency drugs improve patients’ quality life.
