ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE Tuberculosis (TB) is a major health threat in adolescents and young adults. However, its burden this population remains unclear. This study aimed to assess TB changing trends individuals aged 10 24 years from 1990 2019. METHODS All data were obtained the Global Burden of Disease Study We calculated percentage relative changes incident cases, deaths, disability-adjusted life (DALYs). The temporal incidence, mortality, DALYs assessed using estimated annual (EAPCs). RESULTS At global level, incidence (per 100 000 population) decreased 144.12 97.56 2019, with average 1.28% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.36%–1.19%) decline per year. Similar decreasing occurred across sex, age, sociodemographic index regions, most regions countries. female faster than that male. there was an increasing trend extensively drug-resistant (EAPC = 11.23, 95% CI: 8.22–14.33) multidrug-resistant without extensive drug resistance 3.28, 1.73–4.86).
