ABSTRACT
The objective of this work was to induce direct somatic embryogenesis from segments immature leaves the RB872552 variety sugarcane and correlate morphogenic event with oxidative stress. Two previously described protocols were utilized for induction in different supplementations culture medium incubation conditions. For conversion embryos into plants used MS without phytoregulators. Histological analyses activity antioxidant enzymes also conducted embryogenic non-embryogenic tissues. formation obtained 81 % explants combination regulators 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid)and BAP (6-benzylaminopurine) when incubated under 16 h photoperiod. With regards enzymes, there increased peroxidase an increase soluble protein content tissues, whereas lower activities polyphenol oxidase catalase appeared these tissues compared nonembryogenic It could be inferred that stress plays important role sugarcane.
