ABSTRACT
Plecturocebus ornatus is an endemic vulnerable species due to its population decline and restricted range within the Eastern Plains of Colombia. This region affected by deforestation as a result legal illegal economic activities. The aim this work was analyze presence abundance P. during period urban livestock production expansion (1986-2019) in Villavicencio, municipality most land-use changes associated with regional development represents 3.4 % distribution’s area. analysis performed using satellite images Landsat 4 8, V-Late ArcGIS 10.5 describe landscape structure, occurrence records, obtained through field observations Global Biological Information Facility. Densities were calculated for each fragment based on total individuals observed transect. A generalized lineal model used evaluate effects patch-scale, landscape-scale other variables abundance. By 1986 rural peri-urban areas Villavicencio already transformed landscape. During analyzed period, predominantly made up disconnected linear fragments secondary humid forest cover. Around 82.1 records are threatened urbanization only 50 protected areas. varied from 0.00 7.26 ind/ha (0.00–726.82 ind/km2). Abundance highly influenced related connectivity, well area number primate species. Therefore, implementation restoration measures that increase connectivity habitat availability proposed, more control over environmental planning, contribute conservation
