Pathological spectrum of endometrial biopsies in Saudi women with abnormal uterine bleeding

ABSTRACT
<h3>Objectives:</h3> To assess and age stratify the types frequencies of endometrial pathologies in Saudi women with abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) that underwent biopsies, at our hospital over a 13-year period. <h3>Methods:</h3> In retrospective study, from 2006 to 2018, all biopsies AUB, reported laboratory King Saud University-Medical City, Riyadh, Arabia, were revisited analyzed. The categorized into &lt;40, between 40-55 &gt;55 years age. <h3>Results:</h3> We analyzed 6458 biopsies. &lt;40 years' groups cyclical endometrium was most common followed by polyps disordered proliferative endometrium. group, atrophic polyps. hyperplasias malignancies together accounted for 7.2% majority group. Simple hyperplasia without atypia (3.9%), (1.9%), complex atypical (0.7%), (0.4%), simple (0.3%). <h3>Conclusion:</h3> Awareness probable spectrum histopathologies various ages is useful guiding management. Endometrial are valuable early detection precancerous cancerous lesions especially 40 years.
