Comparison of the perspectives of the pediatric surgeons and pediatric urologists in management of cryptorchidism in Saudi Arabia

ABSTRACT
<h3>Objectives:</h3> To evaluate the variability in perspectives between pediatric surgeons and urologists managing cryptorchidism. <h3>Methods:</h3> We conducted this survey among cryptorchidism Saudi Arabia October 2020. distributed a questionnaire to 187 consultants using Google forms platform. collected data related consultant’s experience, preoperative management, management of nonpalpable testes, palpable undescended special situations. <h3>Results:</h3> The response rate was 77% for (n=77) 46% (n=40). number cases managed by each specialty per year differed significantly (<i>p</i>=0.02); however, there no significant difference their experience (<i>p</i>=0.37). preferred age orchidopexy 6-12 months both specialties. Pediatric tend prescribe ultrasound more frequently testes (<i>p</i>=0.05).
