ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the effect of petroleum crude oil contaminated soil on mineral nutrient elements, properties and bacterial biomass rhizosphere jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis). Malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration increased in leaves when grown polluted especially at 2% 3% oil. It was noted that Na, Mg Ca decreased, while K shoots jojoba. In roots Na increased, however decreased with increasing soil. Heavy metals, Cu, Mn, Cd Pb both shoot root concentration, Zn comparing control. soil, N meanwhile Fe, Mn as well organic matter concentration. Soil free from P, addition inorganic fertilisers improved P content. Bacterial account significantly end experiment 1% oil, after fertilisers. The electrical conductivity MDA to only.
