ABSTRACT
The diversity of Brazilian mammals is among the highest world. However this exceptional still widely unknown and great part it seriously threatened by human activities. In present study we estimated species richness relative abundance medium large size for region Brasilândia de Minas, a city situated in fragmented poorly studied cerrado area Minas Gerais state, Brazil. We obtained 63 records 24 species, including eight with extinction. Our results support hypothesis that many mammal may be able to persist agricultural landscapes. This paper shows despite anthropogenic disturbances detected, plays an important role conservation biome.
