ABSTRACT
Background: Visual disturbance in school children can have impacts on long term health status, performance, and emotional social development of those children. Despite these facts, there are only few eye examinations performed to assess visual acuity elementary This research aims observe the prevalence decreased 3rd-6th grade students Manggis 1 State Elementary School, District Manggis, Karangasem Regency, Bali Province year 2014.Method:This Study is a descriptive cross-sectional study with sample 120 from 3rd – 6th I School. Data were collected examination using Snellen Chart at distance 6 metres interview guided by questionnaire form. Result:The both right left eyes 3rd–6th School 70%. The values subjects studied vary range 6/30 up 6/9. majority found mild acuity, 46 (38,3%) 47 (39,2%). There some factors that tend influence value they duration watching television, reading position, playing outdoor.Conclusion: manggis who suffer unrecognized acuity. Their parents advised bring their nearest care center examine order acquire proper management regarding
