ABSTRACT
Javanese cardamom plants are mostly propagated vegetatively using its rhizome. Therefore, the genetic variability is quite low so that needs to be enhanced, one of them by gamma irradiation. The objectives were reveal optimal dose (LD20 and LD50) irradiation on Java seedlings assess performance post experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design with 6 replications. Gamma ray used 0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275 300 Gy. Survival rate, quantitative qualitative observation plant growth conducted. Irradiation conducted mature plant. Result showed LD20 LD50 values 55,89 Gy 100,75 Seedling necrosis leaves stem area after especially high doses.
