ABSTRACT
Introduction. Flat foot is still a controversial topic. As of yet, there are no unified definitions this deformation. Aim. To assess the correlation between longitudinal arch and hindfoot valgus in school-age children. Material methods. A total 362 pupils, 183 girls aged 10.96 ± 0.78 yrs 179 boys 10.89 yrs, participated study. Their height weight were measured their Body Mass Index (BMI) status was categorized. The Arch (AI) used to foot. Hindfoot by goniometer defined as angular deviation tibial anatomical axis calcaneus axis. Results. About 1/3 participants had hollow feet about fifth them flat feet. No correlations discovered; however, excessive revealed. BMI malalignment found. Conclusion. prevalent considerable proportion with flat, normal Therapeutic correction should be varied depend on quality
