ABSTRACT
Thebes is among the best-documented Venetian colonies in Byzantium, with records dating back to 1072. While it widely acknowledged that Venetians played a crucial role development of Byzantine Thebes, details about community city remain largely unexplored, which has hindered deeper understanding true extent impact on Thebes. To address this scholarly gap, article examines using documentary sources, focusing works R. Morozzo della Rocca and A. Lombardo. The study adopted prosopography methodology, reconstructing analysing biographies individuals families groups. investigation covers community’s leading individuals, as well clergy ecclesiastical establishments special interest.
