Background: Accreditation reviews of medical education program standards are becoming more common throughout the world. consequences unfavorable decisions on a school's accreditation status can be significant. As accrediting bodies have become rigorous in applying required for schools to maintain their accreditation, ability ensure compliance with and act upon identified problems should left until preparation next review cycle. Aim Method: Based literature related standard continuous quality improvement (CQI), regulatory documents agencies impacting requirements, our own experience developing implementing process program, we propose practical recommendations interested initiating such or modifying an existing program. Results: A implemented at institution by clearly defining expectations institutional leadership, assigning faculty staff member responsibility facilitating implementation evaluation utilizing approach regular entire specific topics within deemed critical importance school, involving committee key leaders oversee link its results action plans CQI efforts, work flow processes software available most institutions. Conclusion: Establishing program's linking goals (based findings self-study) is manageable endeavor, will provide updated data leadership purposes strategic planning effort prioritization, lead creation continually self-study collection instrument that facilitates complete self-study, may fewer negative organization.</ns4:p>
