ABSTRACT
This study aimed to investigate the influence of forage production area, concentrate supply, and farm labor on characterization milk systems (MPS) their productive results. Milk volume data provided in 2014 by 110 dairy farms located eastern region Santa Catarina State, Brazil, were obtained from a industry. Forty-four with different levels selected, which interviews carried out aiming characterize management practices related labor. A principal component analysis (PCA) was performed. Then, regressions made between components (PC) indicator variables response (annual production, per cow, worker farm, number cows hectare). Finally, we performed hierarchical agglomerative cluster based PCA, followed comparison means clusters. Three PC generated: scale intensification, age manager his experience farming, specialization permanent family available. The three influencing results, especially PC1. It possible form five clusters: 1, characterized highest value PC1, showed 2, intermediate values PC1; clusters 3, 4, 5, lower PC1 distinguished PC2 PC3, had lowest Aspects workforce are important for MPS have significant
