Caring ability of urban and rural family caregivers: association with overburden, stress and coping

ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Objective: To correlate caring ability with overburden, stress and coping of urban rural family caregivers patients undergoing cancer treatment. Method: Cross-sectional study, carried out in a referral hospital for treatment, who responded the following instruments: questionnaire sociodemographic characterization caregiver care provided, Perceived Stress scale, Burden Interview scale Brief COPE. Pearson's correlation test was used statistical analysis, significance level ≤5%. Results: A total 163 59 participated study. Between stress, negative moderate found caregivers. In relationship between there statistically significant interpersonal perception self-efficacy factor. ability, positive identified focused on problem knowledge dimension Conclusion: Urban had greater intensity overburden relation to ability.
