ABSTRACT
Upregulated gene 4 (URG4), a novel located on 7 chromosome (7p13), was found to contribute hepatocarcinogenesis. However, the role of URG4 in gastric carcinogenesis still remains unclear. In present study, by immunohistochemistry be upregulated human cancer tissues compared with matched adjacent nonneoplastic tissues. The proliferating cell nuclear antigen index is higher high expression than those low expression. growth GES-1 cells, which are immortalized epithelial mucosa cells baseline expression, accelerated induction. Downregulation through small interfering RNA (siRNA) SGC7901 and MKN28 had endogenous suppressed proliferation both these cells. URG4-siRNA also inhibited soft agar tumor formation nude mice. Overexpression GES cyclin D1, whereas repression downregulated D1. data suggested that played an important development regulating D1 might used as potential therapeutic target for cancer.
