ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to examine the ability U.S. state child protection service (CPS) agencies identify children with developmental disabilities who have been maltreated and provide them services meet their unique needs. subjects were 50 state-level welfare administrators (including District Columbia) knowledgeable about data collections requirements in states. findings are presented compared collected from two previous studies. Findings indicate that less than one-half disabilities. implications highlight need for improved collection procedures, staff foster care family training regarding disabilities, collaboration traditional disability-related providers.
