ABSTRACT
Spray evaporation experiment was conducted using commercial nozzles distributing liquid ammonia on a horizontal plain stainless-steel tube of 1.9 cm diameter. The average local spray flow rate measured, and varied from 0.0138 to 0.0777 kg/(s-m). saturation temperature tested −23.3 10 °C, heat flux 8 60 kW/m2. effects flux, temperature, rate, nozzle height were investigated. Both standard-angle wide-angle tested. results are compared with pool boiling data obtained in the present published results.
