ABSTRACT
The investigation and utilization of medicinal fungi in China has received considerable attention recent years. However, information on is scattered throughout the literature, many nomenclatural inconsistencies have been found Chinese reports. publications critically checked; as a result, 540 mushrooms from were enumerated present checklist. All names checked or revised accordance with contemporary taxonomy latest version International Code Botanical Nomenclature (Vienna Code). "out-of-date" names, illegitimate nonexistent misapplied previous reports revised. common synonyms are listed after their valid names. main functions each species, together original important references, provided. species belonging to 10 classes, 26 orders, 76 families, 199 genera Ascomycota Basidiomycota recorded values. Most higher Basidiomycetes (482 species), which comprise approximately 89% all species. In total, 126 thought be provided by fungi, 331 (61% total fungi) can used antitumor agents.
