ABSTRACT
This investigation deals with the utilisation of industrial waste to develop an aluminium (Al)-based composite. Waste eggshell (ES) generated from food industry has been used as primary reinforcement material. grinding sludge (GS) produced iron-forging sector was utilised secondary content. Chromium (Cr) also added composite material prevent material’s grain growth. The developed by stir casting process. Experimental results concluded that tensile strength, compressive strength and hardness base (AA 5052 alloy) had improved about 18.02, 23.40 49.53%, respectively, adding 4.5% ES, GS 1.5% chromium. microstructural analysis AA 5052/4.5% ES/4.5% GS/1.5% chromium shows fair distribution X-ray diffraction aluminium/4.5% occurrence aluminium, ferric oxide (Fe 2 O 3 ), calcium carbonate (CaCO (CaO) phases. weight loss due corrosion thermal expansion behaviour have explored observe effect addition on alloy.
