ABSTRACT
The influence of lateral surface microcracking on chloride diffusion in ordinary concrete (OC) and high-performance (HPC) was investigated. development microcracks the concretes described by an evaluation indicator calculated from strain measurements at macroscopic level. Concrete specimens were subjected to monotonic or cyclic loading different levels then long-term bulk tests carried out compressed with only one exposed surface. effect compressive coefficient analysed means specific crack area. results indicate that increase increases is more obvious OC than HPC. However, compared OC, HPC sensitive
