ABSTRACT
The Eye Fixation Related Potential (EFRP) estimation is the average of EEG signals across epochs at ocular fixation onset. Its main limitation overlapping issue. Inter Intervals (IFI) - typically around 300 ms in case unrestricted eye movement- depend on participants’ oculomotor patterns, and can be shorter than latency components evoked potential. If duration an epoch longer IFI value, more one occur, some between adjacent neural responses ensues. classical does not take into account either presence several fixations during or overlapping. Adjacent Response algorithm (ADJAR), which popular for event-related potential estimation, was compared to General Linear Model (GLM) a real dataset from conjoint eye-tracking experiment address results showed that ADJAR based assumptions were too restrictive EFRP estimation. appeared robust efficient. Different configurations this model estimate elicited image onset, as well beginning exploration. These took overlap stimulus presentation following EFRP, distinction by first onset subsequent ones. choice configuration tradeoff about expected behavior quality estimation: number different potentials estimated given must controlled avoid erroneous estimations with large variances.
