ABSTRACT
Background: Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) and coronary artery calcification become worse with increasing age. However, it is unclear whether there a gender difference in patients chest pain but no obstructive disease (CAD).Aim: This study's aim was to investigate age differences existed the association between LVDD calcium score (CACS) CAD.Methods: We retrospectively studied total of 705 (age 65±13 years; men 342, 49%) who had pain, normal LV ejection fraction on echocardiography, CAD computed tomography (CT) angiography.LVDD defined by American Society Echocardiography recommendation septal e'<8.Abnormal CACS as >0.Results: Although, significant prevalence among abnormal (76.1% vs. 88.9%;p<0.001), multiple logistic regression analysis, not significantly associated CACS.When were divided according (decades; 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 years), proportion women increased age.On other hand, young 20-39 years) showed high prevalence, although older 60-69 low prevalence. Conclusions: Young calcified CAD, which LVDD.LV function assessment echocardiography should be performed even CT angiogram.
