ABSTRACT
The amounts of structural data available from the East-West Highway Route 67 Baling Area have been used to unravel characteristics Semanggol Formation, which comprises black mudstone, sandstone, tuffaceous tuff, paraconglomerate, siliceous shale and chert. area was cut by two sets faults trending NW-SE NE-SW. main fault in this is known as Bok Bak that moderately steeply dips (40 o -88 ) compared conjugate faults. Two folds NE-SW were also identified area, where most them are symmetrical fold with gentle open varies non-plunging nearly plunging folds. Most parallel orientation axis, indicated pattern probably originated at same period deformation due warping uplifting. Sejumlah struktur geologi yang terdapat di sepanjang jalur tol Timur-Barat rute daerah telah digunakan untuk menguraikan karakteristik dari Formasi terdiri atas batu lempung hitam, pasir, pasir tufaan, tuf, para-konglomerat, serpih mengandungi silika dan rijang. Daerah ini dipotong oleh dua pasang patahan utama berarah Sesar kawasan dikenal sebagai dengan arah kemiringan sedang hingga curam sebanding sesar konjugasinya. Dua lipatan juga dapat diidentifikasi dimana sebagian besar tersebut merupakan simetri landai terbuka bervariasi sudut penunjamannya tidak menunjam sama sekali sedang. Kebanyakan berorientasi sejajar sumbu lipatan, mengindikasikan bahwa model kemungkinan terbentuk pada periode proses terjadinya deformasi disebabkan pelengkungan pengangkatan.
