ABSTRACT
The ecological and human health risks of heavy metal(loid)s (HMs) in soils around tungsten (W) mining sites have often disregarded the presence W. In this study, we aimed to investigate concentrations 10 HMs (including W other accompanying elements) 18 agricultural soil samples obtained a site southern Jiangxi, China. Furthermore, determined contamination status, source identification, soils. Our findings revealed that were extensively accumulated within study area, with highest mean found. above background values at all sites. Multivariate analysis activities, including extracting transporting ore, primary (61.40%). risk assessment potential across survey area exhibited high risk, cadmium (Cd) should be prioritised as control pollutants for mine site. displayed 73.43% children an unacceptable non-carcinogenic contributed most overall (42.32%), followed by Cd arsenic (As). addition, 22.03% 13.4% adults under significant carcinogenic risk. Overall, our emphasise importance considering element future studies investigating areas. As such, calculated safe limit value (141.01 mg/kg) facilitate conservation development areas provides valuable information pollution prevention mitigation
