ABSTRACT
Traditional emulsified asphalt pothole repair materials exhibit poor temperature sensitivity, low mechanical properties, and water stability. Two-component waterborne epoxy resin (WER) is composed of emulsion a curing agent, has remarkable adhesion, durability, environmental friendliness. was used to modify neat asphalt, enhancing its binder properties improving the pavement performance materials. The influence WER modifier on mixture studied. research showed that agents could polymerize produce under as dispersion medium. Fourier transform infrared spectra analysis indicated modification by mainly physical. With an increase in content, high-temperature deformation resistance resin-modified (WEA) were significantly improved while ductility decreased. WEA had excellent linear correlation with water-loss rate. When content exceeded 15 %, stability, anti-stripping improved. less than 20 played reinforcing role binder, low-temperature crack gradually content. After exceeding critical exhibited brittleness hardness, In summary, it recommended range be 15–20 % for material system.
