ABSTRACT
The present study evaluated the effect of supplementation with oregano essential oil (OEO) on productive parameters, oxidative stability, and lipid parameters turkey meat.Eighty 1-d-old male turkeys were randomly distributed into four treatment groups fed following diets for 105 days: control diet without any or 300 mg/kg lincomycin spectinomycin, 100 OEO, 200 OEO.Supplementation OEO obtained best bodyweight, average daily gain, feed conversion, lowest intake concerning other (p < 0.001), while had stability 0.001).Though no hypocholesterolemic effect, produced concentration triglycerides in blood 0.05).In conclusion, improves increases turkeys.Therefore, has potential to act as a growth promoter replacing antibiotics.
