ABSTRACT
Gastric cancer is one of the foremost causes related death around world. The P2X7 receptor (P2X7R), a member P2X subfamily P2 receptors, unique molecule that has been shown to affect tumor growth and progression as well various inflammatory processes, including proliferation T lymphocytes, release cytokines, production free oxygen radicals. P2X7R established prognostic parameter in some cancers and, recently, it investigated development new targeted therapies. In present study, we aimed investigate value expression GC. profile was evaluated immunohistochemically 156 paraffin-embedded human gastric specimens. higher patients with lymph node metastasis than those without (p < 0.001). overexpression closely tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes [TILs] = 0.001), vascular invasion 0.006), depth distant advanced TNM stage Moreover, univariate (HR 3.98; 95% CI 1.89–11.82; p 0.001) multivariate 2.24; 3.53–12.50; Cox regression analysis showed upregulated clearly correlated worsened overall survival. summary, our data revealed may serve reliable promising therapeutic target for cancer.
