ABSTRACT
This paper explores, from a historical and critical perspective, the way in which image of child, as consumer citizen, was constructed early 20th century Colombia, through series academic, political, economic advertising discussions. A number divergent contradictory discursive strategies about ideal child are also shown. It analyzes children’s market became strategy for transgenerational consumption parents, children incipient industry had to negotiate adopt dynamics social values time.
