ABSTRACT
This research aimed to investigate the different effects of fertilization (through use vermicompost and chemical fertilizer) on carotenoid composition as well chlorophyll content in Clinacanthus nutans Lindau. A field study employing a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was conducted four treatment groups; control plants that were not supplied with any fertilizer (NF), supplemented NPK (FC), (FV), mixture (FM). Vermicompost application shown have insignificant expression C. compared fertilizer. However, supplementation (FV FM) produced greater stability compounds during storage, contrast NF FC. The major carotenoids methanolic extracts organic fertilizers identified violaxanthin, lutein, α-Carotene β-Carotene, while lacked β-Carotene. analysis provides better insight into an alternative source growth supplements for sustainable production pigments which can act functional natural colourant deliver great medicinal benefits humans.
