ABSTRACT
Identification of an individual, clone or pure line with molecular markers is a simple matter, at least in theory. It involves having sufficient number reproducible to ensure that each the genotypes corresponds unique genetic profile. When operational taxonomic units (OTU) be identified are allogamous populations, them series for which it impossible make list, but can characterized, example, by allelic frequencies. therefore has carried out terms probabilities. The method proposed consists comparing sample reference database consisting certain OTUs covering species' diversity spectrum. priori information available on exploited taking Bayesian approach. limited size sample, and also taken into account. result list possible matched probabilities belonging. This approach was tested 44 coconut cultivars represented total 288 individuals (4 15 per cultivar), 23 RFLP markers. advantages offered optimum utilization information, good tolerance missing data, easy interpretation, possibility optimizing samples Lastly, update database, results obtained during study used their full advantage.
