ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to evaluate effectiveness accelerated recovery program for patients with polysegmental degenerative diseases lumbar spine.Materials and Methods. This prospective included 53 who underwent two-level transforaminal interbody fusion in L II -S I segments. Two groups were identified: group 1 (n=24), operations performed using program; 2 (n=29), open rigid stabilization used under traditional intravenous anesthesia. The end-point parameters number bed-days spent hospital after operation, perioperative surgical complications adverse effects anesthesia, re-hospitalizations within 90 days.We also recorded time patient activation, level pain around operated zone (using a visual analogue scale), quality life long-term postoperative period (median 18 months); latter assessed SF-36 questionnaire (physical psychological components health).Results.Patients found have shorter duration surgery less blood loss, lower amounts injected opioids, faster verticalization, reduced inpatient treatment (p<0.05 all parameters). As compared 2, had (p<0.05),better indicators physical health (p<0.05), anesthesia-associated events rate (p<0.05).During 90-day observation, four (13.8%) urgently referred medical institution additional care.Conclusion.The showed its safety high clinical efficiency spine. The can be any center spine where effective interaction between polyvalent nursing teams is maintained.
