ABSTRACT
The study investigated the electrical characteristics of Caco-2 cellular layer grown on a cellulose acetate membrane using impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry methods. effect ethanol solutions varying concentrations electrophysical properties was studied. During measurements by method under direct current, it found that its resistance before treatment 642 kOhm. Treatment with 25% solution increased this value to 645 kOhm, while 50% 95% decreased 505 kOhm 373 respectively. layer's alternating dependencies real imaginary parts concentration in were obtained. obtained data used construct Nyquist diagrams. Their analysis allowed for proposal an equivalent circuit describing process current flow through studied system. included parameters paracellular transport, capacitance, as well elements accounting electrode polarization. As result, values capacitance It established changes influence ethanol. When treated solution, increases, indicating degradation cell reduction barrier function. led decrease which can be attributed compression layer, reducing contribution system's overall conductivity. results demonstrate importance quantitative studying their response chemical stress confirm potential such approaches biomedicine creating sensors «organ-on-a-chip» systems.
