ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Internal fixation of pilon fractures remains challenging despite the development new technologies in medical imaging and implant design various scientific investigations on this problem. A key point therapeutic strategy is preoperative planning. Since beginning twenty-first century, procedure has changed dramatically from plain radiograph drawing to 3D models internal simulation vitro. AIM: This study aimed evaluate modeling fracture osteosynthesis MATERIALS AND METHODS: The used open, prospective, randomized, comparative analysis. We analyzed data 60 patients with who had undergone surgical treatment for between July 1, 2020, December 12, 2021, Moscow City Hospital No. 17. In 30 patients, were planning, another traditional planning method was performed. operation time, intraoperation, X-ray dosage, blood loss, reduction quality, long-term results analyzed. Additionally, surgeon’s comfort applying model ease doctor–patient communication assessed using questionnaires. RESULTS: Results showed that advantages over CONCLUSION: Therefore, a promising novel distal tibial which provides significant higher degree anatomy comprehension facilitates maneuvers positioning.
