These indicate slab thickness area is 10 km presents a dip angle 8°. Continental below Vallarta 20 km, but no evidences continental Moho clear subduction features (trench, accretionary prism) are observed. Nevertheless, model supports hypothesis region Banderas under strong stresses generating lineaments with same trends offshore inland due RP against JB. Most seismicity reported be associated main lineaments. Moreover, Canyon (BC) apparently eastward opening process, which seems continue through Rio Pitillal river valley; or morphological were found BC continuation graben. Offshore, Sierra Cleofas, located south María Cleofas Island, marks limit JB along 100 km. It may result pushing establishing beginning current activity. If type earthquake occurs area, magnitude will 7.5 could have tsunamigenic effect. You do not access content, please speak institutional administrator if you feel should access.
