Attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination, vaccine hesitancy and vaccine literacy among unvaccinated young adults

ABSTRACT
BackgroundHerd immunity is necessary to control the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Unfortunately, attaining herd a significant challenge for current healthcare systems worldwide, and prevalence of hesitancy toward COVID-19 remains high. The aim this study was determine pandemic vaccine hesitancy, attitudes towards literacy level in vaccination period among unvaccinated young adults. MethodsThis cross-sectional carried out province Çorum Turkey. Unvaccinated adults (n=860) between ages 18-30 studying medicine non-medical sciences university were included study. Socio-demographic form, scales on Pandemic Vaccine Hesitancy, Attitudes vaccine, used collect research data. data analyzed using percentages, median values, regression analysis. Results completed with 860 participants. In group, 73.8% 18-24 years 67.7% women 68.0% infected virus. scores from scale, 33, 27 30 respectively. Use social media daily, attitude effective factors (p<0.05). Negative vaccines most influenced risk factor (Beta = 0.248). ConclusionPandemic phenomenon that coincides low negative vaccines. information campaigns should promote group strategies, focusing emphasising safety offer reassurance.
