Molar Concentration Effects on the Optical and Structural Properties of Nanostructural SnO<sub>2</sub> Thin Films

ABSTRACT
Thin films of nanostructured SnO 2 with different molarites were prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique. XRD analysis reveals that all the tetragonal polycrystalline a preferred orientation along (110) plane. AFM measurements indicate value grain size for 0.05 M, 0.1 M and 0.15 111nm, 78 nm 58 respectively. SEM micrograph proved existence small cracks on film surface, EDS confirmed composition percentage ratio Sn O­ no trace impurities could be detected. PL spectra gives indication about optical energy gap effect concentration it which appeared as blue shift. The transmittance was studied deposited thin films, identifying decreases increase in molarity. increased upon increasing molar due o quantum confinement effect. Urbach also studied, their values decrease increase.
