Assess the usage pattern of menstrual cups and its determinants among young health professionals at a tertiary hospital in Puducherry

ABSTRACT
: Menstrual cups are a better alternative for menstrual hygiene but usage among girls and women is limited due to lack of popularity. The purpose this study assess the cup its determinants young in health profession. This cross-sectional analytical designed collect data 370 who fulfilled selection criteria using cluster sampling method. objectives were assessed with self-administered questionnaire. analyzed descriptive (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation) inferential statistics (chi-square). All statistical analysis was carried out at 5% level significance. Among only 29 (7.8%) use cup, nearly 90% them it because comfortable, non-allergic, convenient during travel, enables free movement. Only 8 (2.2%) have used earlier not presently, about 75% stopped difficulty insertion. While 333 (90%) never 70% presumed insertion would be difficult uncomfortable. Young despite being profession knowing do them. highlights need efforts promote awareness regarding availability utilization empower maintaining hygiene.
