ABSTRACT
To investigate clinical characteristics of asymptomatic Terson syndrome and its impact in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).This retrospective, interventional study included 31 SAH, the medical records were reviewed. In addition to baseline population such as age, sex, underlying history, multi-modal imaging analysis, including fluorescein angiography (FA), spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), also Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), Hunt-Hess (HH) grade, Fisher scale at time admission, functional outcome by using modified Rankin (mRS) 6mo compared.Of patients, 10 (32.3%) diagnosed syndrome. All did not report visual symptoms ophthalmologic screening. FA showed microvascular changes retinal capillaries varying degrees disc leakage. SD-OCT allowed intuitive anatomical localization multi-layered hemorrhages assessment ellipsoid zone integrity. The significantly worse GCS (P=0.047) HH grade (P=0.025) than those without, except Ficher (P=0.385). There was no significant difference mRS (P=0.250) 6mo. Among factors, only factor associated (B=1.079, P=0.016).In our study, 32.3% have without symptoms. is correlated syndrome, there between may develop any shown screening be recommended prevent further deterioration especially poor SAH.
