ABSTRACT
A field study was conducted in Aloe vera syn barbadensis with an objective to determine the effect of various levels synthetic fertilizers (10:10:10: 20:20:20: 40:40:40: 80:80:80: N:P 2 O 5 :K kg/ha) on chemical constituents at inflorescence stage plant (12 months old). The active principles were assessed from gel (mucilaginous tissue leaf) and juice (yellow exudate base leaf). results suggested that free o-glycones o-glycosides not affected by NPK nutrients applied, but c-glycosides, anhydrous barbaloin hydroxy anthroquinone derivatives significantly application 40:40:40 or 80:80:80 kg/ha. recovery total polysaccharides ranged 0.52% control 0.89% applied plots. Anhydrous content estimated using HPLC technique colorimetric methods comparable emodin found absent all samples. Aloesin 10.60 13.10% there no significant difference across treatments. 0.050 0.066% dry weight basis.
