ABSTRACT
We investigate the use of medical imaging, digital design and 3D printing technologies as a viable means reproducing person’s anatomy, with intension producing working, patient specific prosthesis. This approach offers several advantages over traditional techniques, data capture is non-intrusive, models can be made using quantitative methodologies, iterations digitally stored for future reproduction, additive manufacturing ensures no loss quality when converting model into physical part. also present combined segmentation multi-material to increase colour complexity final model. When elastic materials, our provides comprehensive strategy accurately realising mimic both skin pigmentation tactile feel human tissues. Ultimately, we believe an innovative prosthesis production which could have considerable potential implementation in clinical setting.
