OPTIMIZATION OF ZAKAT FUND MANAGEMENT IN REGIONAL ZAKAT INSTITUTION

Purpose: The implementation of zakat fund management especially in some institutions is considered not optimum yet. This condition represented by disparity between potential and actual collection. In Islam, the objective only to collect wealth keep it idle, instead should become a source productive fulfill societal needs. Some countries with advanced have developed pillar economic development. Today, each institution competing against other innovate management. Empowerment appropriate strategies will enhance distribution for betterment recipients (mustahiq) Muslim society at large.
 Design/Methodology/Approach: research aimed analyze optimization regional SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis approach IFE-EFE Matrix. Descriptive qualitative used explain institution.
 Major Findings:Findings this shows that improve their strategy developing strength turning threat into opportunities.
 Originality/Value: study provides guideline on how they can role efficiency boost growth Islamic community Indonesia. It may also be instrumental government innovative manpower, considerable development optimizing Gift Economy
