ABSTRACT
It has long been recognised that the identification of organizational members with their organization could mitigate collective action problems.One domain in economics and management addressing these fundamental problems is control, as it focuses on aligning individuals' behavior organization's objectives.This paper studies interaction major traits context, including principal means control.The study uses an agent-based simulation based framework NK fitness landscapes.In model, emerges endogenously causes certain effects organizations, which turn induce feedback identification.The model controls for different activation mechanisms identity contexts terms task complexity prevailing coordination mechanism.The results suggest subtly interfere controls.Organizational was robustly beneficial across a wide range environments when mode corresponds to mission orientation controls.Moreover, appears particularly relevant grant some autonomy subordinate decision-makers.
