ABSTRACT
WD repeat domain 5 (WDR5) plays an important role in various biological functions through the epigenetic regulation of gene transcription. However, oncogenic effect WDR5 leukemia remains largely unknown. Here, we found expression is increased patients. High associated with high risk leukemia; Patients and MLL1 have poor complete remission rate. We further identified global genomic binding leukemic cells co-localization H3K4me3 enrichment. Moreover, knockdown by shRNA suppresses cell proliferation, induces apoptosis, inhibits targets, blocks enrichment on promoter its targets. also observed positive correlation these targets cohort study Our data reveal that may WDR5-mediated H3K4 methylation leukemogenesis.
