ABSTRACT
Gold nanoparticles have unique physical, chemical and optical properties, due to which they are used develop promising drugs: radiosensitisers, X-ray contrast media, agents for photothermal therapy, drugs targeted delivery. In each case, the choice of nanoparticle parameters is determined not only by field application, but also biodistribution in living organism: blood circulation time accumulation target organs tissues, including tumor. For long circulation, should avoid phagocytosis liver macrophages. The aim this review was systematise information on influence gold their pharmacokinetic properties intact tumor-bearing small laboratory animals. Size, shape stabilising coating were considered. Smaller tend circulate longer bloodstream accumulate more slowly liver. Various coatings such as citrate, bovine serum albumin or polyethylene glycol protect against aggregation, opsonisation phagocytosis. completely understood; presumably, it less important than size coating. general, available data indicate that with a diameter up 50 nm polymer optimal biomedical application.
