ABSTRACT
Introduction. The frequency of hip arthroplasty is steadily increasing throughout the world and, although this operation has become routine, likelihood postoperative complications reaches 4.3 % [1]. most dangerous them are infectious lesions in area endoprosthesis and adjacent tissues. At same time, addition to threat generalization process, there functional disorders joint a general deterioration quality life patient. Timely diagnosis treatment process related can minimize adverse effects infection. Target. purpose review analyze modern methods for diagnosing treating periprosthetic infection resulting from replacement. Materials methods. subject literature was searched using PubMed Google Sholar databases. Results. main include histological bacteriological examination biopsy specimen, determination sensitivity antibiotics, blood, synovial fluid analysis content leukocytes, IL-6, CRP, PCR diagnostics agents. Treatment consists re-intervention and/or antibiotic therapy. Conclusion. optimal method study specimens taken intraoperatively. preferred determined by severity infection, degree involvement tissues prosthesis, comorbid background, nature agent, includes repeated revision surgery.
