ABSTRACT
Robotic metabolic and bariatric surgery (RMBS) has emerged as the most effective approach in treatment of severe obesity academic medical centers (AMCs) community (CMCs) United States America (USA). However, differences their scientific productivity fields remain unexplored. This bibliometric analysis evaluates production related to RMBS AMC vs. CMC USA from point view analysis. In core collection Web Science database, research technique used this includes specific keywords for “robotic” “bariatric surgery”. Original articles released up until 2023 were included. A total 89 included study, with 73 originating 16 CMC. Compared CMC, had a higher average number per year (3.48 1.1, P = 0.002) annual growth rate (13.23% 7.6%). terms impact, there was no difference citations article (22.73 ± 32.96 12.25 9.59, 0.213) or proportion published highest quality journals (54.8 56.3, 0.916). The output increased by 14.5% annually, showing rising linear trend an unclear University Illinois frequent AMC, while Orlando Health network common Both play pivotal role USA, having production, but similar impact field at time.
