ABSTRACT
Background: Medicinal plants are of great importance to health individual and communities. Method: A group 25 male wistar rats 150 g–210 g were kept 14 days while being fed treated with extract. At 14th day, anesthesia was given blood samples collected by cardiac puncture hematological biochemical investigations. Serum analyzed Alkaline Phosphatase, Aspartate Transaminase Alanine whole complete count. The liver kidney removed placed 10% formalin prepare histology staining using haematoxylin eosin technique. Results: extract elevated hepatic biomarker enzymes i.e. ALP, ALT AST. increase found be significantly different (P > 0.05) at 400 500 mg/kg doses compared control group. Histological sections showed distortion cytoarchitecture, steatosis, necrosis hepatocytes congestion sinusoids high 300, body weight. In kidney, there mild integrity glomerular hypercellularity (400 per weight). Conclusion: aqueous has toxic effects rats. observed a dose dependent manner.
