ABSTRACT
Urgent environmental challenges and emerging additive manufacturing (AM) technologies push research towards more performant new materials. In the field of metallurgy, high entropy alloys (HEAs) have recently represented a topic intense because their promising properties, such as temperature strength stability. Moreover, this class multi-principal element (MPEAs) opened up researcher community to unexplored compositional spaces, making prosper literature high-throughput methodologies tools for rapidly screening large number alloys. However, none methods has been aimed design MPEAs AM process known selective laser melting (SLM) so far. Here we conducted nanoindentation testing on single scan tracks elemental powder blends pre-alloyed powders after ball milling AlTiCuNb AlTiVNb. Results show that can represent an effective technique gain information about phase evolution during scanning, contributing accelerate development MPEAs.
