ABSTRACT
A high-voltage transmission tower consists of structures to avoid the risk electric shock and prevent collapse. Hence, towers are generally designed be high-rise for efficiency. The main posts primary structural members that resist loads under various load conditions. Therefore, contribution secondary member securing stiffness strength by reducing effective buckling length is important. However, there no detailed design criteria members. In this study, effects horizontal braces on torsional stiffness, elastic strength, load-carrying capacity were observed through analysis methods including linear-elastic, eigenvalue, geometric nonlinear inelastic analyses governing combinations. According analytical rather than members, brace spacing significantly affects performance. number can minimized if sufficient erected. If wide, it recommended erected create K bracing, resistance thus enhanced.
